Activision 動視於 8 月 29 日公開影片，展示公司派遣律師前往作弊程式開發團隊據點，親自遞交停止相關活動的法律命令文件，官方同時公布長期打擊《決勝時刻》（Call of Duty）作弊程式開發者與販售商的成果，並透露最新作《Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4》（《決勝時刻：現代戰爭 4》以下簡稱《CoD: MW4》）的反作弊措施也已取得一定成效。

《CoD: MW4》由 Infinity Ward 開發，是《Call of Duty 決勝時刻》系列最新作品，預定 10 月 23 日正式上市，也是 2023 年 11 月推出《Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III》後，睽違約 3 年推出的《現代戰爭》系列新作。PC 版由 Beenox 參與開發，Nintendo Switch 2 版則與 Digital Legends 合作製作，目前遊戲已陸續進行 Beta 測試，先行 Beta 於 8 月 21 日至 25 日舉行，公開 Beta 則持續開放至 9 月 1 日。
在 8 月 29 日凌晨，動視宣布公司在先行 Beta 測試期間，派遣律師前往美國俄亥俄州，針對作弊程式開發團隊 Elocarry 採取法律行動，並向相關人員遞交停止活動命令。官方 X 帳號同步公開約 1 分鐘影片，可以看到律師在疑似 Elocarry 活動據點的建築物前遞交法律文件；動視在隨後的貼文中公布了長期打擊作弊程式產業的成果，包括阻止超過 375 家作弊程式代理商持續營運、提出超過 80 件禁制令請求，並成功迫使超過 30 家販售業者停止營業，官方強調，未來仍會針對作弊程式的開發者與販售商採取進一步行動，包括訴諸法律途徑。

此外動視也公布了《CoD: MW4》反作弊措施的成果，據悉在先行 Beta 期間已有數百萬場遊戲進行，雖未公布具體數據，但作弊使用率已呈現下降，在開放測試期間也導入新的作弊偵測系統，官方預計在 Beta 結束後公布更多相關資訊。
關於動視，該公司一直透過「RICOCHET Anti-Cheat」系統在其遊戲作品中嚴打作弊行為，過去也曾宣布《Call of Duty: Black Ops 6》在對戰開始前便封鎖超過 1.2 萬個作弊帳號，另一方面，動視過去亦曾對大型作弊程式業者提起訴訟並勝訴，取得巨額的損害賠償；此次公開的影片則將反作弊行動進一步延伸至作弊程式產業源頭，直接展示向開發者遞交停止命令的過程。隨著《CoD: MW4》即將上市，Activision 與作弊程式開發、販售業者之間的攻防戰預計仍將持續。
《Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4》預定於 10 月 23 日推出，對應 PC（Steam／Microsoft Store／Battle.net）、Xbox Series X|S、PS5 及 Nintendo Switch 2。
